Alexis Rai Hernandez has been crafting her career as a business woman since she began attending Temple University in 2006. She started her career as a freelance fashion/wardrobe consultant, catching the attention of local artists and designers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She's continued on to work with luxury brands, publications, and retailers such as BCBG Max Azria, Idol Magazine, Nordstrom, Liverpool Jeans, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Since 2010, Alexis has been the Branding and Creative Director for luxury eye wear brand Stevie Boi and became the North America Representative of African Fashion Fund in 2014, where she now is North America Director of Programs and Partnerships. She uses her experience, knowledge, and influence to assist in creating more international opportunities and exposure for rising fashion designers and fashion professionals of African and African American descent. To add to her humanitarian and business experience, she was the North America Director for Africa Rising Foundation from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, Alexis' philanthropic work led to her being elected to be an active member of New York Global Leaders Dialogue; a prestigious thought leading platform, and an Elite Global Ambassador and Contributor for Mogul; an award-winning technology platform that enables over 18 million women across 196 countries and 34,470 cities to share ideas, solicit advice, and access content based on their personal interests. She currently lives in New York, New York.
